March is a busy birthday month for us. Dan's birthday is first, followed quickly by Ron and Adellelyn's and then Chad's the next day. You'll have to excuse the grainy iPhone photos, but the lighting was terrible at the restaurant--maybe if I keep them small they won't look quite so bad. Callie and Jordan were able to join us for dinner to celebrate Ron's birthday.
We laughed and talked and enjoyed being together.
At Ron's request, we had a praline King Cake which was quite yummy!! (In fact, I've been enjoying it WAY too much ever since).
While we were eating, we realized that Rob, Jana, Callie, Jordan and Terry will all have new jobs in 2014! Congrats to them all!!

Years ago, Ron's mother enjoyed painting and Ron had several of her paintings. At one point, his home flooded and he was able to save a few of the paintings, but they had to be cut from their backings and some had a few water stains. For his birthday, I was able to get one of them re-stretched and framed as a surprise. This one kind of reminds me of the lake we visited last weekend.
He also received some new tools from Callie & Jordan and I gave him a new watch---an LSU watch, in fact, that he is quite proud of!
