For the past 6 weeks or so, I've been spending each Wednesday afternoon with Carol, doing this.
She is the Graphics Chairman Red River Revel, a huge arts festival held downtown each October. I've now joined the crew as assistant chairman. Our job is to make all the signs that are needed during the week of the Revel. We use an industrial electronic cutter, so my experience using my little Cricut have actually helped quite a lot (same principle, but on a much bigger scale).
With Carol out of town for the weekend, I worked the opening days solo, busily preparing the signs needed for all the different events and booths. By this afternoon, things had finally let up a bit and I was able to spend some time strolling outside in the near perfect fall weather.
I love the Revel--there is truly something for everyone.
