Flea Market Frenzy (Part One)

Today is Valine's birthday. (Happy Birthday, Valine!!) To celebrate, she and I went on our annual shopping trip to the Canton Flea Market. As a surprise, I booked us a hotel room in Athens, TX (which is close to Canton) and we drove over after I got off work. We arrived in time to go to the town square and search out a place for dinner.

I love town squares!! Every little town should have one!!

We found the perfect spot---Sweet Pea Bistro, nestled inside a great little antique/decorating store, Winnie & Tulula's.

What a beautiful place!!! Our food was yummy and the furnishings in the store were so inspiring.

As an added bonus, Ki Nassauer, the editor in chief of Flea Market Style magazine was there signing copies of the latest issue. Too bad we didn't have our magazines with us! However, she did sign a flyer for us that we can add to our scrapbooks. She took the time to visit with us for a while and we all shared some laughs and smiles. We also met Margo Arrick, a contributor and blog administrator, who took some photos for us!!

Such fun!!! (Hey, Warrenton Warriors, we are going to definitely add Winnie & Tululas to our list next time we're all together!)
