Girls Gone Junkin' - Part Two

Early Friday morning, the fun really began.  After an early morning run in the warm, humid weather, we came back to the house for showers.
We gathered our things, donned our matching shirts (designed by my favorite graphic designer, Jana) and headed out with our shopping carts.
The booths were packed with all sorts of goodies.
It seemed that nobody had anything specific that they were looking for this year, but we all managed to find plenty to fill our carts.  It wasn't long until Valine was making a deal on some beautiful tole trays, while the other ladies went in search of their own treasures.
We enjoyed lunch together and shopped some more.
In one booth, we ran across a rocking chair that was almost identical to the one I'd purchased at the Goodwill Store for Callie.  This one had been painted and had new cushions, but the price tag is what caught my attention---$175!!!!  I'd say we got quite a deal!

The weather on Friday was quite warm and very humid, the rain held off until we were in a restaurant later that night.  It cooled things off, however, and Saturday we needed jackets in the morning.  We made our annual visit to one of the area garage sales, and then stopped at the church sale  down the road.  We didn't find anything of interest there except the church itself and the sun coming up behind it.
I love the variety of goods available at the Antiques show--everything from high-end glassware to industrial salvage.

Of course, there were also some things that were just plain weird.  For some reason, there seems to be some sort of fascination with baby dolls. . .  strange baby dolls.

Signage was very popular again this year.
And there was a lace-covered sailboat . . .
beautiful flowers . . .
a tribe of metal natives . . .
and even a fortune-tell/palm reader.
Truly, something for everyone!!
